Jeanious: Tried and tested
“I have absolutely no loyalty to any brand of jeans,” declared leggy Anna Daly as she set about chosing three pairs for our shoot. “The skinnies in my wardrobe are either stretchy or jeggings. I like details on the back of jeans but they have to be placed correctly and if pockets are too small, they can make your bum look bigger than it is. “Of all the jeans I tried on for the shoot, I liked J Brand the best. They have a straight leg rather than skinny-skinny and are complimentary to my shape”
“I like jeans that fit my ass. My legs are not the longest, I’m 5ft 8 and I used to love flared jeans but now skinnies are my favourite,” says Amber Runner up in RTE’s Model Search competition, Amber works abroad, where she comes across tempting labels. “I have a few pairs of MET jeans which are Italian and bought in Spain. My favourite jeans from this shoot were definitely the Salsa jeans and I really liked the colour and fit. They are very comfortable and I think they look amazing on,” said the Morgan model.
“Dark washed skinnies have been my favourites because they so versatile. You can wear them with flats and heels, but I really liked the grey Pepe jeans which have a cute hem at the ankle which brings attention to your shoes. “My favourite jeans from the shoot were the Miss Sixty ones which have a lovely bit of stretch and give a lift to your bum. I am apple-shaped. The weight is around my tummy so I am thrilled to see higher waistbands come back in. I think they look really glamorous.”
Hazel admits to being “very body-conscious” and has worked hard to lose the baby weight after her four sons, Oisin, Fionn, Niall-Shaun and Pierce, were born. Her her work-out includes lots of cardio and walking to the park with the pram. “I’d like my bum to be much more pert, like Kim Kardashian. My bum is long and I’m always doing the pencil test to see if stays up,” said Hazel, whose favourite jeans from the shoot were the J33 Armani bootcut jeans which make her bum look very bootilicious.
