The 33-year-old American actress portrays Emma Frost, a sexy mutant villain with telepathic skills, in the comic book adaptation which is set for release this summer.

January has already earned herself an army of male admirers portraying bored-but-beautiful housewife Betty Draper in hit US show Mad Men, and it looks like the raunchy outfits she dons in the upcoming X-Men film will earn her even more.

“In the comics, it’s very revealing and form-fitting. So we tried to emulate that, using fabrics and leathers. I hope the fans like it because it’s a very distinct look,” she told Total Film.

The movie will be the fifth instalment of the X-Men film franchise, and is based on the popular comic book series of the same name published by Marvel Comics.

January has previously spoken about initially being shocked by the skimpy nature of some of the attire she will don in the movie, although she feels confident in her body. The gorgeous star has an equally positive attitude to her costume choices off screen, and says she never lets fashion critics get her down.

"Everyone can have their own opinion. I certainly do," she has previously said.
