Leading Irish designers like Fiona Heaney of FeeG and Limerick knitwear designer Caroline Mitchell feature in the exciting line-up in 'The Kerryman'/Irish Independent fashion show which takes place at the Festival Dome in Tralee on August 21.

A round-up of the newest 2011 trends has been selected from 24 boutiques around Munster and the midlands.

The show, one of the style highlights of the festival, will be produced by Celia Holman-Lee. It puts the spotlight on glamorous looks from influential 'destination' boutiques such as Isobel of Adare, MacBees of Killarney, La Boheme of Dingle and Jasmine of Tralee.

The strength of the Irish fashion vision is underlined by success stories such as bridal designer Patrick Casey from Co Longford. His elaborate gowns are embellished with crystal, beading and lace.

There is a €1,000 prize on the night for the Best Dressed Lady, to be judged by outgoing Rose of Tralee Clare Kambamettu and Irish Independent Fashion Editor Bairbre Power.

Tickets are €30 and available from the Rose of Tralee Office on 066 7121322 or www.roseoftralee.ie
