Irish parents want the ultimate fairytale as royal designer's Communion dresses sell 'like hot cakes'
The designer of Kate Middleton’s bridesmaid and flower girl dresses has launched a collection for a different type of princess in Dublin and they’re selling fast.
The opportunity to have the ultimate fairytale dress for their little girls’ First Holy Communion is being snapped up by parents nationwide as a couple of the six available styles had to be re-ordered as they had sold out.
Nicki MacFarlane, the award-winning designer who created ‘that’ dress for Kate’s sister Pippa, unveiled her collection at Brown Thomas on Grafton Street, with two of the styles exclusive to Brown Thomas.
The collection includes ready-to-wear dresses priced between €275 and €425.
The all-white dresses are handmade in sillk, satin, laces and organza and nod towards Kate Middleton’s royal wedding designs with their lace, beaded collars and opulent sashes.
