Irish Models to Watch

The up and coming faces of Irish fashion
Aisling Quinn, 19, from Co. Kildare
Agency: Andrea Roche Model Agency, Dublin
Why you should know her: She’s the daughter of Niall and Gillian Quinn, but is carving out a career in her own right. The DCU student is splitting her time between studying and the catwalk and is becoming one of the most in-demand photocall models.
What’s next: Aisling is said to be determined to finish her college degree, so watch this space..!
Jennifer Foley, 18, from Blackrock, Co. Cork
Agency: First Option Models, Dublin and Elite Model Management, London
Why you should know her: She was named as ‘one to watch’ by fashion bible Vogue magazine. After being scouted on RTE’s The Model Agent, she was quickly thrust into the fashion stratosphere.
What’s next: She’s finishing a BSc in Government at UCC and has managed to retain a relatively low-profile.
Clara McSweeney, 15, from Macroom
Agency: Andrea Roche Model Agency in Dublin and IMG international
Why you should know her: You mightn’t...just yet. At just 15 years old, Clara was snapped up by Andrea Roche, who scouted her at a ‘model bootcamp’. She has since modelled for Abercrombie & Fitch and has been snapped up by one of the world’s most exclusive agencies (they sign just two girls per year), IMG.
What’s next: She’s only 15 years old, which means there’s plenty more of Clara to come in fashion circles. We imagine she’s perfecting her craft before ditching Ireland for life as a supermodel.
Danielle Winckworth, 17, from Bray, Co. Wicklow
Agency: Morgan the Agency in Dublin, Ford Models in New York and Storm Models in London
Why you should know her: Danielle was scouted when she was just 15 years old by her Dublin agency. She's walked for John Rocha in London Fashion Week (while still wearing braces!). Since then, she has walked for DKNY and Rachel Zoe at New York Fashion Week.
What’s next: She’s focusing on finishing her Leaving Cert this June, and then, we predict world domination.
Juudit Siibak, 17, from Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan
Agency: Distinct Model Management, Dublin
Why you should know her: She’s graced the pages of Kiss and Stellar magazine and has fronted campaigns for Helen Steele and Coldlillies jewellery site.
What’s next: Juudit is originally from Estonia, meaning the life of a European jetset model isn’t such a far-off concept...
Lisa Madden, 19, from Blarney, Co. Cork
Agency: Assets, Dublin
Why you should know her: She came fourth in the most recent series of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model, was a finalist in RTE’s The Model Agent and is an all around rising star.
What’s next: Lisa is still living in her native Cork while dividing her time between here and London, where she’s believed to be shopping for a UK agent.
Naoise Tan, 18, from Belfast
Agency: First Option Models, Dublin
Why you should know her: She’s worked with Louise Kennedy, BT2, Brown Thomas and been the face of Belfast Fashion Week. Now remember, she’s only 18.
What’s next: The schoolgirl star manages to avoid the spotlight, but we hope she continues modelling!
Thalia Heffernan, 17, from Ranelagh, Dublin
Agency: Morgan the Agency in Dublin and Premier Model Management, London
Why you should know her: She’s a London Fashion Week veteran at the tender age of 17 and has fronted campaigns for Harvey Nichols and Brown Thomas.
What’s next: Thalia is also on Leaving Cert duty this year. Afterwards, she plans on pursuing modelling full-time.
Laura O’Grady, 18 from Castleknock, Dublin
Agency: Distinct Model Management in Dublin and Select Model Management in London
Why you should know her: Since being snapped up be Select last year, Laura is being tipped for superstardom. She opened for Bora Asku at London Fashion Week and is the new face of Irish designer Sinead Doyle’s autumn/winter collection.
What’s next: More than likely, a move to London.
