Laura Jayne Halton was sharing some old illustrations from SJP's fragrance line when the Sex and The City Star endorsed her designs and called them "gorgeous".

Laura Jayne (29) from Maynooth, Co Kildare was chosen to create the illustrations for the SJP fragrance line in New York in 2009, beating off competition from eight other designers.

Although she never got the opportunity to meet the actress, Laura Jayne was stunned after the actress responded online to her tweets.

But after uploading some of the illustrations to social media last week, the designer was left stunned when the Sex and the City star wrote back.

"I was uploading some of my old work and linked in SJP to the illustration. She has over half a million followers so I never expected she'd write back. But the next thing I know she'd sent me a tweet," said Laura Jayne.

After seeing the illustration of the Peony Rose, Parker responded, "That is a beautiful illustration! Gorgeous work. Thanks for sharing it. X, sj".

"To get recognition from Sarah Jessica Parker was unbelievable. When you think of the hundreds of tweets she must get every hour, for her to spot mine and write back was just incredible. What a boost," added Laura Jayne.

The designer immediately replied telling the star she'd be honoured to create a piece for her. "You never know what might happen, maybe she's checking out my website right now. If there was anyone you'd want to be endorsed by it's SJP," she added.

The young designer has been blazing a trail for herself following on from designing outfits for Irish Oscar hopeful Fodhla Cronin O'Reilly last year and dressing Ireland's new Ambassador to the US Anne Anderson for this year's St Patrick's Day celebrations.
