How to wear - the swinging sixties
This seasons sixties revamps are a clean and colour blocked early sixties aesthetic rather than the feather and flowery kaftans that came later on in the decade.
The look is more Mary Quant and Twiggy rather than leather and grunge.
If you're going to work the trend keep the styling minimal.
As sharp and futuristic as the aesthetic may be, it can look a bit prim so should you need to move from day to night or prefer to flaunt those curves, look to add some simple prints or horizontal stripes.
On the high street Penney's have put there own particular spin on the look.
My own particular pick is their retro shirt dresses. Tight enough to skim the figure but flattering enough to hide the bumps and bulges.
Pair it with some opaque tights and black shoes though if you need to take the look down a notch, skinny jeans and flats will give a look more suited to daytime.
