It’s one of those old staple pieces that never gets tired and this season the camel coat is one of the hottest trends on the catwalks.

Chloe opted for masculine tailoring, Philip Lim came over all feminine with a leather-lined cape version and Erdem did a military version with brass buttons and a high neck collar. Unassuming, versatile and simply fabulous, this season's camel coat is a Godsend.

How to wear it?

For a fresh take on the look try a duffle version of the trend. Add some skinnies and a pair of killer heels and you’re set.

Topshop has a great version at the moment for only €107.

In your 30’s…

For something a little more sophisticated, focus on detail - leather lining, military buttons and contrasting lapels. Wear it thrown over your shoulders with a black dress for a high fashion feel. See this gorgeous buttoned version available at Reiss for €260.

In your 40’s…

To work the look for daytime, team with camel trousers, a polo neck and boots. The perfect take on Chloe’s chic styling.
