Tuxedos at the ready - there's just four more sleeps until Bond bursts back onto the big screen.

Spectre fever has officially peaked ahead of the release of the 24th Bond film here on Monday.

And while star Daniel Craig was mocked for his 'dad jumper' at the press conference for the blockbuster last year, now at least, his on-screen style is leaving male fans shaken and stirred.

From slick knits to budgie smugglers, the British super-spy has certainly come a long way from the days of Roger Moore's over-starched dinner suits and Pierce Brosnan's oily bouffant.

Here we reveal how to steal Daniel Craig's Bond style - on Timothy Dalton's budget.

BOOTS:

It wouldn't be a Bond film without a baddie. And in the 24th outing of the franchise, Ian Fleming's anti-hero takes on a shady Austrian called Franz Oberhausen played by Christoph Waltz. Little wonder then that the super-spy has swapped his reflective brogues for a pair of ass-kicking ankle boots, giving new meaning to suited and booted. The 47-year-old actor was snapped sporting a pair of Crockett & Jones double monk strap-style shoes on set earlier this year.

BUDGET: Next Buckle Zip Boot, €77

ROLL NECK:

As the world's best-dressed secret agent, Bond is famous for his impossibly pressed designer tuxedos. This time round, however, fans will see Daniel Craig roll with the punches in a far more practical mock turtle neck. Ever loyal to British brands, the buff star wears a skintight charcoal grey roll neck by cashmere house N Peal in the teaser poster for Spectre, and is thought to wear another by the label in the flick. Who knew dad jumpers could be so sexy?

BUDGET: New Look Roll Neck Jumper, €19.99

SHADES:

When it comes to embodying Bond, Daniel Craig leaves the likes of George Lazenby in the shade - not least with his designer eyewear. Slicing through the Austrian slopes on the set of the action-packed flick, the star was spied wearing a pair of hi-tech night-vision goggles. But it's his trademark Tom Ford sunnies, worn during a funeral scene in Rome, that 007 fans are likely to want to get their Goldfinger on.

BUDGET: Debenhams Red Herring Sunglasses, €10.50

BOXERS:

Preparing to step into the Church's brogues of Pierce Brosnan, dad-of-one Daniel reportedly pumped iron five days a week and ate up to six times a day in order to look like he could "kill somebody". So it would be a terrible shame not to show off all his hard work on screen. Iconic British undie brand Sunspel has confirmed it supplied the star with a number of tighty whities to wear in Spectre. But it's not yet known if the Bond bombshell will recreate his Ursula Andress moment from Casino Royale.

BOND: Sunspel Superfine Low Waist Trunk, €40, available from Brown Thomas nationwide

BUDGET: Marks & Spencer David Gandy for Autograph 2-Pack Trunks, €27

SUIT:

Bond number six has never been one to sacrifice fashion for function. And racing over rooftops in a pristine two-piece suit in what's expected to be Spectre's explosive opening sequence, that's certainly not about to change now. During filming in Mexico, leading man Daniel was spotted working up a sweat in a classic navy windowpane suit by British designer Tom Ford. But don't worry because the besuited spy has another slick three-piece by the couturier to change into later on.

BOND: Tom Ford O'Connor Windowpane Suit, €3,731, available from harrods.com

BUDGET: Penneys Navy Twill Blazer, €75, and Navy Twill Trousers, €45

GLOVES:

With a rumoured payday of more than €50m for his penultimate outing as Bond, Rachel Weisz's other half is the highest paid 007 in history. After suffering an agonising knee injury during filming however, the Spectre star controversially told how he'd rather "slash his wrists" than play the M16 agent again. Still, at least the press-shy actor's million dollar mitts were safely cocooned in a pair of leather gloves by designer British brand Mulberry - perfect for high-speed car chases and punching your arch-nemesis's lights out.

BUDGET: Dune Postalle Gloves, €45

WATCH:

From Casino Royale's Eva Green to Spectre's Monica Bellucci, the blonde Bond has never exactly been short on arm candy. But it's his latest Omega timepiece that Irish men are truly lusting after. Based in Limerick and Cork, Keane's Jewellers has already sold two of the swish watches worn by Daniel Craig in Sam Mendes' blockbuster. But can the director convince the actor - and, incidentally, Omega brand ambassador -to return to the gruelling role one more time? Ahem, watch this space.

BOND: Omega Seamster 300 Spectre Limited Edition Watch, €6,825, available from keanes.ie

BUDGET: Swatch Black Energy Watch, €160, available from Swatch, 55 Grafton Street, Dublin 2
