I'd like to inject some colour into my work wardrobe. How can I try this summer's brights without looking unprofessional?

  • Go To

The trick is to balance out summer's hot hues with some neutral tones to soften the shock of an otherwise very bold trend.

Beige is a great base for brights and luckily there are lots of sandy-toned basics around this season as nude tones are this summer's other big fashion story.

Anchor your outfit with basic beige pants then inject a jolt of colour.

Equipment's colourful silk man-style shirts stocked in BT2 are gorgeous and as they are beautifully tailored they will still look the business despite their dazzling shades.

Try a little colour clashing with a bold handbag; emerald green works wonders with tangerine and beige.

Finally, keep your shoes neutral to elongate your legs -- these smart sandals may be peep-toe but the heels make them boardroom friendly -- but remember flip flops are always an office no-go no matter what colour they may be!
