Gwen Stefani praised for stylist role
Gwen Stefani has been praised for her guest stylist role on American Idol.
The singer-turned-fashion-designer – who is the lead singer of rock band No Doubt – is renowned for her eclectic style and gorgeous looks. Gwen debuted her clothing line L.A.M.B. in 2003 and expanded the collection with the 2005 Harajuku Lovers line.
The American star put her fashion credentials to good use on the hit US singing show, when she styled its three remaining female contestants for the aptly themed rock night. Gwen dressed Pia Toscano, Haley Reinhart and Lauren Alaina head-to-toe in fashions from her L.A.M.B collection.
Soyan An, who is the costume designer for the show’s female contestants, praised the blonde beauty’s attitude towards her role.
"They were like mini Gwen's," she told Style List. "They loved working with Gwen and thought she was the sweetest."
The blonde beauty even had a say in the contestants’ hair and make-up looks, which saw ponytails and Gwen’s signature matte red lips appearing on the girls.
