The competition is on as Ireland's most stylish are clamouring to nab an award at the 13th annual VIP Style Awards.

UFC fighter Conor McGregor has won the title of Most Stylish Man at the VIP Style Awards.

While Lucy Kennedy has been crowned as having the look of the year.

It's a girls night out as models, presenters and actresses leave the boys at home to don their gladrags.

Models Aoife Cogan, Karen Fitzpatrick and Kristi Kuudiism attended together as did Roz Purcell and Holly Carpenter.

The beauty queen duo both opted for cleavage baring jumpsuits, along with Roz's little sister Rachel.

Madeline Mulqueen left her actor fiancé Jack Reynor at home and Michelle Heaton left husband Hugh Hanley at home with their two babies Faith and AJ.

Heaton said this was her first night out in a year and loved how her white structured dress sucked in her 'leftover baby weight'.

Aisling O'Loughlin stunned in teal Caoimhe Keane with Melissa Curry accessories and spoke of her pride at showing off her post baby figure four months after giving birth.

Irish fashionistas brought their A-game proudly championing homegrown design on the red carpet at the Marker Hotel.

Last year's big winner Kathryn Thomas brought boyfriend Padraig McLoughlin, opting for her favourite designer Umit Kutluk.

This year's ceremony, hosted by Ireland's fashion king Brendan Courtney, will see some of our most famous faces battling it out for a coveted style award.

RTE's Mary Kennedy walked the red carpet in a beautiful Marion Murphy-Cooney dress tonight.

The Style Awards is one of the key opportunities for Irish designers to showcase their pieces with Sean Byrne dressing actress Aoibhin Garrihy and Helen Cody also featuring on a number of guests.

The 300-strong guest list is personally selected by VIP magazine publisher Michael O'Doherty and editor Martha Connolly. And anticipation surrounds Michael's now famous no holds barred speech.

Tonight's goodie bags are filled to the brim with beauty gifts, including vouchers from title sponsor Peter Mark, hair product brand Kerastase and make-up brand Lancôme.

Earlier in the evening, the beauty gurus at Lancôme held a VIP beauty suite for nominees and select guests to get pampered before walking the red carpet - an offering Vogue Williams took advantage of after flying in from her London base this morning.

Broadcaster Kathryn Thomas and her boyfriend Padraig McLoughlin will walk the red carpet together.

While Maia Dunphy will be attending the fashion-forward event at the Marker Hotel with her good pal Lucy Kennedy as they mix with all the country's best-dressed.

Tonight will be another chance for Ireland’s top models and TV personalities to shine – but it’ll also be a showcase for home designers.

Irish designer Sean Byrne has designed several gowns for the glitterati attending.

And Ireland’s expert on fashion himself, Brendan Courtney, has promised three costume changes while he hosts the awards.

Tonight's after party will take place in Copper Face Jack's nightclub on Harcourt Street for the first time.

All VIP guests are being treated to the coveted Coppers Face Jacks all-access Gold Card.
