Nick Edwards; Warren AllottTHE fashion world paid its respects yesterday to the designer Alexander McQueen, who died earlier this month.
Among those attending the funeral at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge, west London, were Daphne Guinness, the heiress; the artist Sam Taylor-Wood and her fiance Aaron Johnson, the actor.
Model Kate Moss and the designer Stella McCartney also attended the service, which was a private affair with only close family and friends allowed.
McQueen's coffin was laden with pink, white and red roses spelling out "Lee", his real name.
His father Ronald was joined by his five other children at the service.
And the family are also mourning McQueen's mother, Joyce, who died at the beginning of the month.
The 40-year-old was found hanged in a wardrobe at his Mayfair home on February 11, on the eve of his mother's funeral.
