Fashion targets breast cancer

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer is now in its sixth year and has raised awareness and funds for both the Irish Cancer Society and Europa Donna Ireland. Early detection of breast cancer among young women is the main focus of this campaign and what better way to get our attention than offering us pretty new things with a "good cause clause" built in.
In the last few years, Elle Macpherson, Helena Christensen, Erin O'Connor, Minnie Driver and Paul Smith have all been involved with the campaign and this year it’s the turn of New York designer Tory Burch.
As is the norm, she’s created a bag (canvas tote with the distinctive FTBC bullseye logo) that launched on Friday 19th in Brown Thomas Dublin.
The Fashion Targets Breast Cancer tote bag is €45 in Brown Thomas nationwide and all proceeds raised will go to Action Breast Cancer and Europa Donna Ireland.
While the shopper bag may be synonymous with FTBC, Topshop are also doing their bit starting last year with a bold target T-shirt modelled by super model of the moment, Jourdan Dunn. Following its huge success, they’re back again with a vest emblazoned with the slogan ‘Love to Love’. It will retail at £16, with £5 from every vest sold going to the charity, and will be available in both white and black.
If neither of the above float your boat check out Irish-owned Chica Boutiques offering. A shiny new clutch bag that’s on sale now for €49.99 with all proceeds going to Action Breast Cancer.
