Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: ‘Looks go and you fade’
The British supermodel, 27, is preparing herself for life after modelling
It looks like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is setting herself up as the next supermogul.
Speaking to Industrie magazine, the 27-year-old Devon-born beauty has admitted that she's fully aware of her shelf life as a model and so is setting herself up for a successful future post-posing.
"I realised early on that nothing lasts forever, especially as a model - you have to build something for yourself from it. Looks go and you fade. Modelling is short lived," she said.
And she's been doing just that thanks to her collaboration with Marks & Spencer, for whom she designs a collection of lingerie.
"I wanted something for when I want to take a back seat. There'll be a brand that I'll be sitting at the helm of and enjoying. This is really the start of something I see as a long-term thing," she said of the Rosie for Autograph line, which is the high street store's best-selling lingerie collection, hinting that she's got more 'brand Rosie' plans up her cashmere sleeve.
"I get tweets every single day from women sending me pictures of themselves in their lingerie, their Rosie for Autograph, telling me how their experience was purchasing it and how special they feel in it and how comfortable it is. It's been overwhelmingly positive and very humbling for me," she adds.
Yesterday she took to Instagram to tease a new project with Paige Denim, posting a picture of her with a pair of jeans and the hashtags '#STAYTUNED #PROJECTINTHEWORKS', suggesting she may be doing more than just modelling for them.
