Remus Uomo goes for 'sharp in the city' look

Remus Uomo, an Italian-inspired menswear fashion brand developed in Ireland, yesterday showcased its new AW15 collection, which takes inspiration from traditional materials and techniques.
The company, which has been in business for three generations, looks to tweeds, shearling, leather and wool for comfort and textural appeal.
While model Yomiko was lined up to model a suit, Remus Uomo is, in fact, an all-male brand but with elements that girls may like to, let's say, 'borrow', including chunky knitwear and slim-fit tailored jackets, which can be worn with shirts or, more casually, with turtlenecks or T-shirts.
The AW15 collection starts at €70 and features tweed with contemporary country influences that look sharp in the city.
Colour-wise, there's a muted palette showcasing greys, burgundies, olives and brown, and the brand's ubiquitous blue - which has proved popular with Irish men wearing it with tan shoes - has taken a cooler turn for autumn, moving from the bold cobalt of summer to a more steely tone as we head towards winter.
Among the looks showcased at Dublin's Dean Hotel were roll-neck knitwears under suits and structured knitwear over fine Melton trousers. The brand's AW15 take on smart casual is to deconstruct the traditional tailored look by combining trainers with suits.
Remus Uomo is stocked nationwide.
