Olivia Palermo to design shoe collection with Aquazzura
The model/socialite/fashion force is adding another string to her bow.
Evidently intent on increasing her profile as a fashion brand, the style maven is collaborating on a capsule collection with Italian shoe label Aquazzura.
The newlywed is a long-term champion of the label, often spotted in their elegant lace up stilettos.
The Florence based label was founded in 2011 by Edgardo Osorio, who cut his teeth at Salvatore Ferragamo and Roberto Cavalli.
Fashion blogger Olivia (28) said of the venture, "The Aquazzura aesthetic very much fits my own, so it made sense to collaborate with my good friend Edgardo."
"I think it is no secret that I love a good shoe, so I very much enjoyed creating a 'survival pack' for every occasion and women of all ages," she added.
The six-piece collection is comprised of over-the-knee boots, jewelled, metallic and suede sandals, and laceup gladiators.
"Olivia and I have a very similar vision of shoes," creative director Edgardo has said.
"She is a real style icon and has amazing knowledge about shoes and accessories. We wanted to create a capsule collection of the styles every woman needs in her closet, interpreted with the Aquazzura aesthetic.”
