Meet Amal Clooney's Irish shoe designer - Anita Flavin
You may not have heard of Irish fashion entrepreneur Anita Flavin, but she is one of the leaders in the international luxury footwear industry.
The Irish woman was formerly a buyer at high street shoe store Office and retailer John Lewis, before pursuing her own ventures.
Most recently, Anita has been collaborating with Italian shoemaker Ennio Mecozzi, having secured a role as Creative Director of the luxury brand.

The shoes, handmade in Marche - the shoemaking region of the country - are famed for their high quality materials and classic designs.
Anita has brought over 25 years of experience in the footwear industry (she previously ran her own labels Minette and Neet) to the table, and is now introducing Ennio Mecozzi to a new clientele.
One notable fan of the brand is human rights lawyer and international style icon, Amal Clooney - wife of Hollywood actor George.
The elegant 37-year-old barrister opted to wear a pair of ‘Emma’ black and nude pumps with a low heel and gold buckle detailing for her first day back at work after the summer, resulting in a surge of interest in the brand.
“She has ordered several other pairs too so we are obviously thrilled she is such a fan of the brand,” a representative for the footwear company told Independent.ie Style.
