Former model, Lorraine O 'Sullivan from Dooradoyle, Co Limerick won Most Stylish Lady at the 150th Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh today with a chic outfit and a pillbox hat she made herself.
Lorraine was chosen by the judges Bairbre Power, fashion editor of the Irish Independent, TV personality Amanda Byram, Melanie Morris, Editor in Chief , Image Publications and Breeda McLoughlin of Dubai Duty Free.
Five finalists were chosen by hundreds of fashionable ladies who attended the historic event at the Curragh where early winds challenged bigger head pieces but the weather turned around and provided a stunning evening for the big race of the day.
Lorraine's mesh-style dress cream dress was by Philip Armstrong and came from the from Ivory Closet boutique in Limerick.
Her enviable prize worth €20, OOO includes a trip to Dubai, courtesy of Dubai Duty Free, five nights in the Jumeirah Creekside, diamonds from Boodles and a stay at the Marker Hotel in Dublin.
Guests at the event included rugby stars Ian Madigan and Robbie Henshaw who tomorrow go into Ireland camp for the forthcoming RUgby World.
Among the finalists in the Most Stylish Lady competition was dress designer Heidi Higgins from Portlaoise wearing a cream dress with sheer top and a hold hat.
Claire Murphy from Tralee was chosen as a finalist for her cape dress made by Tina Griffin from fabric she bought in San Francisco and a gold hat by Carol Kennelly.
