Cork model Clara McSweeney shares US agency with Gigi Hadid and Giselle
She's with the same US modelling agency that represents Gigi Hadid and Giselle - so it's no surprise that Cork teenager Clara McSweeney has been selected for a top international fashion campaign.
Clara (19), who is from Macroom, enjoyed a relaxing Easter break at home ahead of her shoot for upmarket British fashion brand Barbour.
Her Irish agent, Andrea Roche, says her client is in demand right across Europe and the US.
"Clara is back at home for a few weeks and has been doing some work, including for fashion brand Boohoo.com and shooting for Aaron Hurley," Andrea told the Herald.
"She will be back travelling in a few weeks and is going to do a campaign for Barbour. Then she is going to Munich to do a few campaigns with an agency over there so it is all go.
"She has been kept very busy and is away a lot, but she still comes back to Ireland for work whenever she can," Andrea added.
The teenager, who hopes to be a vet, saw her star rise last year after top US agency IMG decided to represent her across the Atlantic.
Closer to home, she is represented by Elite Models in the UK, as well as being signed to Andrea's agency here.
Indeed it was Andrea who first spotted Clara's potential four years ago during a modelling bootcamp for her agency and set her on her fashion path.
Clara turned 19 before Christmas and celebrated with a night out in New York with her fellow models.
She decided to try her hand at the international modelling scene after finishing her Leaving Cert in June and moved to the Big Apple last summer.
With a number of agencies around the world, Clara spends a lot of time away from home so she made the most of catching up with her friends and family while back in Ireland over the Easter break.
However, Clara was also hard at work as she launched Boohoo.Com's new spring/summer range.
The versatile model was decked out in some colourful threads for the shoot, including a lilac dress (right), but she also showed off her edgy side in a white mini dress with a quirky beaded bag.
It's all go for Clara since Andrea signed her up at the age of 15. Last year she was scouted by six agencies in the Big Apple.
And it was the agency who represent model of the moment Gigi Hadid who were more than happy to sign her up. Clara has previously said that her move to New York has "had a good impact on my confidence". No doubt her campaign with Barbour will do the same - her profile is set to rocket.
