Converse's Chuck Taylor finally gets a makeover 98 years later)

After 98 years, Converse have finally give its most iconic shoe a makeover.

The new Chuck Taylor sneaker will add arch support and cushion support, with the aim of making them more comfortable to wear.

The new shoes land in stores on July 28 in black, white, red and blue.

In addition to the standard rubber toe and All Star logo, a new padded tongue and suede lining has been added to the shoe, standard characteristics of Nike (Converse's parent owner) trademark. 

The Chuck Taylor originally appeared in 1917 and the new kicks have been in development for two years.
