This weekend, I'm... heading into the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre to see a display of garments by the 12 finalists in the DFF's Young Designer of the Year competition.
This is the fifth year of the festival and in addition to the free daily fashion shows on Henry Street and Grafton Street, there will be a spectacular catwalk show outside Bank of Ireland on College Green next Thursday night at which the winner of the Young Designer competition will be announced. Their prize includes a fashion portfolio shoot with Barry McCall.
Tonight I will go for dinner with my wife, Abigail, at Super Miss Sue which is in the Creative Quarter where a lot of festival events take place between next Thursday and Sunday.
Tomorrow, we will bring our two children, Eliza and Ethan, for brunch at San Lorenzo's on South Great George's Street.
Afterwards, we'll head to Merrion Square where there is a great new playground which our kids love. In the evening, I'll be working, fine- tuning the schedule for the Fashion Bus which hits the streets of Dublin the following day.
