Beyonce's four-year-old daughter wore a €620 dress to the CFDAs
No big deal, but Blue Ivy wore a €620 skirt to the CFDA awards last week.
The stylish tot is no average four-year-old, that’s for sure.
Blue Ivy walked the red carpet with her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards last Monday, wearing a Mischka Aoki skirt that costs around the same price as an average month’s rent.
The skirt that Blue wore is part of the Fall Winter 2014 collection by Mischka Aoiki, described as “a luxury brand for children”.
The brand sells clothes for tots priced up to an eye-watering €13,000. *Gulp*.
The pint-sized fashionista wore a plain black top and pumps and a white blazer with the pricey piece.
Blue sat in the audience as her mum Beyoncé was awarded the prestigious Fashion Icon Award.
During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé spoke about how fashion is in her blood, saying: “ As long as I can remember, fashion has always been a part of my life.”
“Most of you guys don’t know this but my grandmother was a seamstress. My grandparents did not have enough money and could not afford my mother’s Catholic school tuition, so my grandmother sewed clothes for the priests and the nuns, and made uniforms for the students in exchange for my mother’s education. She then passed this gift down to my mother and taught her how to sew,” the 34-year-old Lemonade singer said.
It seems that the style gene has certainly been passed down to Blue, who’s already earned herself fashionista status at just four years old.
That’s a far cry from stripy leggings and Sesame Street t-shirts, so.
