14-year-old Kaia Gerber takes after supermodel mother Cindy Crawford in first fashion campaign
She learns from the best.
At just 14 years old, Kaia Gerber is already a fashion force to be reckoned with, following in the footsteps of her supermodel mother Cindy Crawford. Amid vague chatter she'll retire from the international modelling world at 50, it looks like the next generation is ready to step in.
Kaia, who famously starred as the face of the Versace Kids when she was just 10 years old, signed with IMG Models in 2014, the agency which represents Gigi Hadid and Miranda Kerr, and has landed her first major campaign for Chrome Hearts, an LA-based jewellery line.
Although she has dabbled in modelling since the age of five, latest turn in front of the camera is one of her biggest coups since beginning her part-time modelling career in 2015.
She has previously featured in CR Fashion Book, covered Teen Vogue and boasts 345,000 followers on Instagram and her mother had previously hoped for her daughter to wait until she was 17 to try her hand at modelling. "She doesn’t want me to start a career too young," Kaia told Teen Vogue last year. "She started modeling when she was 16, but that world is very different now."
