RED CARPET WRAP

Kelly Brook

Wow, what a disappointment!

Normally, she's as predictable as rain during the summer, but something shocking seems to have happened to Kelly Brook.

Instead of her usual immaculate ode to 1950s style, she looks – dare we even say it? – as if she just got out of bed, and picked up the first garment to hand.

Shame, really, because while we're sure the negligee is alluring in the, em, right circumstances . . . it's not exactly the right look for a freezing night on the red carpet. Such flimsy material is just asking for a wardrobe malfunction, especially when the paparazzi cameras flash . . .

And as we all know, ladies, the golden rule is cleavage or legs, legs or cleavage. Never both.

But Ms Brook, generous to a fault, has given fans her all – possibly a bit more than even she was bargaining for ...

Abbey Clancy

We don't normally find ourselves praising footballers' wives for their stunning style.

To be honest, usually, we're more stunned by their sartorial sins.

But every so often, we are happily surprised when we spot style from an unlikely source and Mrs Peter Crouch has definitely scored this with this number.

The former model and Strictly star showed off her fabulous figure in this unforgiving scarlet Philip Armstrong dress, managing the usually impossible feat of looking both demure and seriously sexy.

We most definitely approve.

MY STYLE

* Maire McKeogh (32)

* Owner of 'Sealed with Irish Love' homewares and gifts

* Sealedwithirishlove.com

I'm inspired by my friend and fellow Clare lady Alcy Lynch; she's head of design at Henry Holland and has always been streets ahead in the style stakes.

Also, I went to a Giles Deacon show in London a few years ago and am still a big fan.

My style is pretty eclectic; a hodgepodge of fashion ingredients. Here, I'm wearing a Danity Blouse from TKMaxx, Warehouse trousers, an Anya Hindmarch bag and Nine West shoes. I never buy clothes online as I always need a swing in front of the mirror before I part with my cash.

My can't-live-without fashion item right now is my Bastyan military style drape coat in nude and I seldom leave home without my few pieces of gold jewellery which I've collected at antique fairs over the years.
