Suits you - but is Roz Purcell's fashion line a perfect fit for €500?

Fitness fanatic and 5’10” model Roz Purcell would look chic dressed in a bin liner.
So I was curious to see if her highly anticipated suit line, Scribe by Roz, could look as good on mere mortals as they do on statuesque pageant queens.
Would the pant suit live up to its red-carpet worthy image – not to mention the €495 price tag? There was only one way to find out; so I ventured to House of Fraser in Dundrum Town Centre to give Roz’s suits a test run.
Upon arrival I was handed a blue two-piece nearly identical to the ensemble worn by the Tipperary model on the red carpet of the 2014 VIP Awards – the look that marked the beginning of Roz’s (pictured) partnership with Scribe London’s designer Pat Morley.
As soon as I put the suit on, I was pleasantly surprised. The fabrics are thick and luxurious without being restrictive. In a sure bid to win over any woman, the sizes are generous and the cut is flattering.
However, it’s not quite perfect, but that’s where the Scribe team steps in.
Part of the experience is an on-site tailoring service, where the label’s tailors will be on hand to fit every customer – this is factored into the price.
Within minutes I’m pinned to perfection and Pat assures me the changes will be made to my suit within a day.
“You can buy a suit off the shelf for €395 but I wouldn’t advise doing that because we know the suits,” Pat said. “You can also buy everything separately.”
The finished product looks and feels good, perfect for eveningwear and work alike – it’s no wonder the range has proven to be a hit among Irish celebrities.
“Take the three people that have worn them – Sinead Kennedy is 5’2, Roz is 5’10 and Miriam O’Callaghan is 6’1 – the suit works for everyone,” Pat said.
It’s a pretty big investment, but Scribe by Roz gets a thumbs up from me too.
