Music Gig

You’re not quite a sequin kinda gal, so you’re heading to a gig to bring in the New Year. A pair of chunky heeled boots are ideal for the occasional boogie on the dance floor, and these snakeskin ones make us want to channel our inner Stevie Nicks. Add a dash of New Years dazzle with a lurex crop with a slim fit and flash of flesh to offset the boxy denim culottes. Tie in your boho vibes with a tassle cross body bag that you don’t have to hold on to when you hit the dancefloor, and finish off your look with a pair of gilded earrings.

House party

House parties are one of the best ways to celebrate New YearS Eve; all your best mates under the one roof, tunes blaring and plenty of long overdue catch ups. You want something comfy but you can get away with something a bit slinky as you’ll be indoors all evening. An off-the-shoulder number ticks all the boxes, and that bare neckline begs for a statement jewel like a decadent choker. Finish off your party look with a pair of killer heels that show of your flouncy hemline.

Dinner Date

If you’re welcoming the New Year with that someone special, you’ll be dressing to impress. Kick off 2016 in style with a knock-em-dead dress from Self Portrait. In a sizzling shade of scarlet and showing just the right amount of skin with whisper thin shoulder straps and an opulent sheer skirt this is frock hits all the right notes. Go for understated jewels like delicate crystal earrings and a pair of strappy heels to finish of this perfectly polished look.

Family

Comfort is king for a New Years Eve night with the family, but you can still stay in in style. A flowy bobo dress is the ideal shape, giving you plenty of room for nibbling on those left over mince pies, while metallic accessories inject it with a dash of glamour. These sleek slip ons are just the ticket, and go perfectly with a pair of minimal drop earrings.

Dancing

You’ve gathered the girls and are heading for a night out on the tiles, so you need an impressive party dress. Bypass the sequins and go for a vivid pop of colour, like this bold magenta frock in a sumptuous wool/silk blend and a flirty off the shoulder neckline. A kitsch statement bag gives this saccharine party dress an edge, as do a pair of eye catching graphic earrings. Pick up on the sparkle of the clutch with a pair of glittering black heels to dance the night away in.
