Enchanting style: Behind the scenes video of Mistletoe's dazzling Christmas shoot
Enchanting fashion in this year's Mistletoe magazine was shot by leading Irish photographer, Daniel Holfeld, at Malahide Castle in north Dublin.
We wanted to keep it at home and play to the strengths of wonderful Irish products and creative talents.
Stylist Roxanne Parker curated a sumptuous collection of covetable pieces from leading Irish and international designers as well as the high street.
The gown on the cover featuring luxurious beading and embellishment was designed by up and coming designer, Eamonn McGill. Little did editor Bairbre Power know when she chose the image for the cover that it had always been the Co Louth designer's dream to feature in the mag, let alone own the front space!
We were committed to showing the best of Irish and even our bespoke, handmade rocking horse was Irish too, made by Patrick Bolger form Co Cavan.
Our video was shot by James Galvin of Shoot Cut Grade and our props team was headed up by Jill Beecher who operated the snow and smoke machines in unseasonally sunny weather for November!
Our cover features model Eve from Distinct Model Management and young ballerina, Danni Batkini, one of three ballerinas from Monica Loughman's Elite Ballet School who took part in the shoot. The make-up on the day was done by MAC's top artist, Lesley Keane and Michael Doyle from Peter Marks was on site to do the hair.
To add to the magic, we had three professional musicians, a stylish bed on loan from Harvey Norman which the team from Joeanna Caffrey Flowers at Avoca in Rathcoole, decorated with blooms and Geraldine Brooks and her team at Malahide Castle and Gardens did everything for us to make sure the carefully planned shoot went off without a hitch.
Sit back and enjoy our behind the scene video. Hope it gets you in the mood for Christmas which is now less than a month away.
