Edun have finally ended their search for a creative director, deciding upon Irish designer Sharon Wauchob.

Sharon studied at Central St Martins in London and worked with Koji Tatsuno in Paris before moving on to build her own label specialising in “alternative” fashion.

Ali Hewson, co-founder of Edun said: "Sharon was the one that stuck with us more than anybody else, due to her thoughtfulness, her obvious talent and just a feeling she is really growing into something. This is her time. She’s of the 21st century in a big way.”

The first Wauchob collection for Edun will launch in Spring 2011.

Meanwhile, she will continue to design her own collection which shows in Paris each season.

Last year, LVMH took a 49 pc stake in Edun, leading some fashion insiders to speculate there will be a new focus on creating a high-fashion image for the brand.
