Duchess of Cambridge ready for her close-up as she leaves hospital

Hard to believe that the Duchess of Cambridge had just spent three days in hospital on a drip suffering from acute morning sickness as she left King Edward VII Hospital this morning.
Most women in her condition might, at best, manage to pull on a pair of UGG boots and reassemble their greasy hospital hair into a straggly ponytail. But one of the major downsides to being married to the monarch-in-waiting is that one's never allowed an off day.
Cue the glam squad who must have been smuggled to Kate's bedside in the dead of night to ready their charge to face the waiting hoards of photographers in grand style.
What might look to some like casually pulled back hairdo, is in fact a thoroughly glossy blowdry - most likely courtesy of Kate's go-to guy, James Pryce from Atelier - neatly pinned in place, Bardot style, at the nape of her neck.
Her stylist (yes, of course she has one), picked out the perfect 'cover-up' - a sensible but pretty dress coat that leaves everything to the imagination, and a lavender pashmina scarf which not only perked up her complexion, but even coordinated with William's cosy knit.
And of course, nothing says: "You can p**s off if you think you're getting a picture of my tummy" better than an enormous bunch of strategically placed yellow roses.
In fact, the only tell-tale sign that this wasn't just another day in the office for the royal couple were Kate's puffy eyes - the result of non-stop vomiting and extreme dehydration - an ailment which sadly no amount of pixel-perfect make-up can disguise.
We've got to hand it to her though: to face the press looking this flawless after such a rough ride when she could have pulled a sweater over her head and bundled into the back of a waiting car, shows unsurpassable dedication to her duty. No, not as a royal - as a style icon.
