This week's deal of the week is the D4 designer sale. The sale has become a regular destination for those with an eye for a designer bargain, containing clothes and accessories sourced directly from designers, boutiques and agents across Ireland and Europe..

The latest sale, on Saturday and Sunday, (March 27and 28) sees featured designers as diverse as Kate and Ava, Helen James and Tyrell & Brennan and has a distinctly Irish feel.

It is being held at the D4 Ballsbridge Court Hotel from 11am until 5pm and will also feature the talents of well-known stylist Maria Fusco, who will be on hand for some free advice about how to tailor individual looks to suit everyone and how to piece together items for all occasions.

Prices start from €50 and, according to director Marion Cuddy, the sales are "as much about fun with friends as they are an event for serious bargain hunters". Having run the event for 20 years, she feels the regular sales have become an event where "you can get a great designer discount but at the same time enjoy trying on beautiful clothes or find that perfect piece for you".

Items to look out for include individually designed leather totes by Lulu Belle and Cozi di Roze's united fold ankle boots, as well as some sculptural and feminine dress and occasion wear from Irish Tatler's woman of the year Deborah Veale. Designs have also come from further afield, and if you are quick you may be able to pick up Malene Birger dresses, which are on sale for as little as €129. It's not all good news. Anyone prone to bouts of shoe mania will no doubt seek to avoid some heavily discounted Beatrice Ongs - elbows at the ready!
