Veruschka, the supermodel of the 1960s and 70s, was the muse for Louise Kennedy's colourful spring -- summer 2011 collection which she unveiled yesterday at her Merrion Square salon.
The Irish fashion designer, famed for her tailoring skills and subtly feminine silhouettes, showed long and languid jersey pieces in vivid bubblegum pink, azure blue and buttercup yellow.
Prices for the separates and dresses start at €295 for a pencil skirt, €475 for high-waisted palazzos, while the Corrine jersey knee-length dress costs €695. Louise also showcased her move into bridal wear, with dresses priced between €3,000-€8,000.
And although the Tipperary-born designer is not making Kate Middleton's dress, she has made outfits for several of the royal wedding guests for the nuptials at Westminister Cathedral in London on April 29.
