Holly Shortall is the youngest finalist on TV3's show of the summer, StyleWARS. She is hoping to win the show and kick-start her career as a stylist. But while she dreams of styling, how exactly does she style herself?
First fashion memory
My love of fashion was always evident even as a toddler with plastic marabou heels and clip-on earrings. There are photos of me aged three on the beach in my swimsuit, with a string of pink pearls around my neck.
Favourite designer label
Favourite high street store
You can’t beat Topshop for a payday treat and I have to mention Monsoon since I work there. Their Fusion line is pretty fab and customer service is second to none!
Best bargain buy
Probably my Chelsea boots from London's Portobello Market three years ago. I got them for nothing as a buy one get one free deal on shoes, and to my suprise realised the were Russell & Bromley and probably cost a lot!
Most expensive item in your wardrobe
I’m a bit of hunter-gatherer when it comes to clothes and tend to pick up random bits from charity shops so I don’t have anything worth too much in my wardrobe.
Top of your wish list
I'm still after the perfect pair of buckled biker boots, but I'm starting to wonder if they'll ever exist.
Most stylist moment
I don’t think I've had it yet. I adore dressing customers in Monsoon but feel like I'm still learning how to dress myself, so I don't think I've had my defining moment just yet.
Biggest fashion faux pas
Where do I start?! Probably anything up to now. Watching Style Wars made me realise what clothes, hairstyles and make-up suit me, so I've tried to be more aware of how I dress, but still be me.
Has to be my gran, Helen. She is so stylish and knows exactly what suits her. She has a pair of leopard print peep-toes I've been lusting after for a while. My grandad dated Audrey Hepburn when he lived in London but I think he hit the nail on the head with my gran. My boyfriend's mother Rose is also very stylish, I have never seen anything like the amount of clothes she owns!
Era you’d love to have lived in
The eighties! Most people would associate it with the word 'cringe', but I love Madonna and adored her eighties look.
Fashion or style
Definitely style, as Yves Saint Laurant said 'Fashions fade, style is eternal'.
Finally, what did you have for breakfast this morning!?
Just a big pot of coffee. Can’t. Live. Without!
