Maxmara's sporty sister label, Sportsmax, has always been a brand with wear-ability and a sporty ethos at its core. I'm not suggesting that these are clothes designed to get physical in -- merely that they are threads to wear while relaxing and unwinding at the weekend!

What could be more comforting in the depths of January than the lure of an over-sized snug knit jumper or cardigan as seen at Sportsmax, crisply layered over a clean-cut shirt dress for a look that is equally cosy as it is fresh.

The heeled hiking boots add a touch of rustic charm to this look as well as a sizeable dollop of glamour.

If trying this look at home, I would suggest slipping a pair of knitted leggings from H&M under the socks and layering a parka or mannish camel coat on top to make sure you're insulated
