Clever Couture: Dolce & Gabbana from catwalk to high street

Dolce & Gabbana will still be whipping up a storm each season but its younger diffusion line, D&G, will sadly be no more.
The final collection for SS12 is chock full of scarf prints. Curlicues, florals and scenic prints all graced the silks, backed up with a riot of screaming colour. Never ones to shy away from ostentation, D&G know how to have fun.
The scarf print trend is rapidly gaining momentum.
Last season's Versace collection for H&M featured a revival of some of their most celebrated prints, many of which are along the same lines. Definitely a trend on the up.
This collared shirt dress from Topshop with its ice-cream pink stripes and golden chain print is bang on the money. If you're feeling creative, team with scarf-wrapped wedges as seen on the catwalk or for a speedier alternative, opt for polka-dot hosiery and multi-stripe heels.
