Diane von Furstenberg has been around the block, having first popped up on the fashion scene in 1972 with her iconic wrap dress.

She knows what women want to wear and she knows what sells. Dresses are her forte, preferably in floaty chiffon or silk jersey and more often than not prettified with elegant prints. It may sound deceptively simple but few have perfected the art of the effortlessly wearable dress quite like von Furstenberg. The current collection was accessorised to the hilt for the runway show.

Stacks of tribal bangles were teamed with chunky metallic sandals and multicoloured, knitted leather bags. But it was the finishing touch of golden leaf corsages embellishing the crimped hair that was the crowning glory.
