Balmain's head designer Christophe Decarnin is sticking to what he knows best; Rock-luxe -- that's rock'n'roll fashion with a luxurious twist!
Think seriously sexy spray-on leather trousers in silver, or customised leather jackets studded and embellished with hardware.
This spring it feels like Balmain has borrowed style tips from fellow French designer Isabel Marant, copying her winter collection of cropped leather trousers, ankle-skimming jeans and pointy flats.
The good news for savvy fashionistias is that it is easy to get the Balmain look by using a bit of creativity and by raiding a haberdashery shop!
Get busy with a scissors and make holes and rips in a T-shirt like this Warehouse one, before adding some safety pins to hold it together. Search eBay for stud kits to customise a leather or denim jacket for a fast, fierce and affordable way to pimp your wardrobe.
Bleached jeans and cut-off denim shorts were other mainstays in this season's show -- both of which are easy-peasy to customise -- so go on get snipping!
