Former French Vogue editor has already launched make-up range

Former French Vouge editor Carine Roitfeld is believed to be creating a fragrance.

The former editor of French Vogue has expanded her career a great deal since her shock decision to leave the fashion publication in 2010. She has launched her own publication called CR Fashion-Book, written a coffee table tome, dressed windows for US department store Barneys and launched a make-up line with MAC.

It’s now been suggested she is working on a perfume, with New York Post claiming she has already started planning for its launch.

There is no further information available on the scent, although fashion blogs have already became speculating about what the perfume will smell like.

Earlier this year, Carine insisted she had no regrets about leaving French Vogue but did wish she’d helped more young designers during her tenure. She also revealed she doesn’t read the publication anymore as she wanted to move on completely.

“I don’t read Vogue Paris, honestly. I want to make a break. It’s like when you have a divorce, you don’t want to go back. And we don’t have kids in common, so...” she said.
