Best Dressed at Cannes Film Festival
One week in, and the unabashed glamour has yet to subside.
Now that the international supermodel set have arrived, the style stakes have risen even higher.
These girls don’t do things by halves.
Lancome spokeswoman Arlenis Sosa flew the flag for British design at the ‘Two Days, One Night’ premiere. Opting for a bronze Julien Macdonald Fall 2014 embellished dress, the cutout elements highlighted the one time Victoria Secret model’s impeccable figure.
The previous night she opted for Elie Saab Couture and an impressive Chopard ruby and diamond collar at the event hosted by luxury jeweller.
Proving that she could make a black plastic bag look red carpet worthy, supermodel Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore an exposed bustier dress from the Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2014 collection. Joining the exclusive guest list at the De Grisogono Fatale in Cannes Dinner, Rosie added a touch of class with emerald green earrings and her trademark sleek, flat-ironed hair.
Leonardo Di Caprio’s current squeeze and Victoria Secret model Toni Garrn looked fresh faced and youthful in a sexy white Elie Saab number. Joining her Victoria’s Secret alumni, the 21-year-old German model also attended the De Grisogono bash, accessorising her simple gown with colourful cocktail rings and an understated box-clutch. Rumours of Leo's partying with another model days previously did not appear to phase her.
There’s a reason why the LBD has been a classic for decades; a well fitting black gown is always appropriately chic and regal. Model Liu Wen proved this in a ruffle-necked column gown by Saint Laurent. Classic.
Brazilian Angels Adriana and Alessandra showed two similar looks over these past two days; At the ‘Two Days, One Night’ premiere, Alessandra Ambrosio wore a Swarovski embellished one-sleeve gown by Atelier Versace. Alessandra’s perfectly proportioned figure is the perfect mannequin for this look, and her pulled back ponytail allows it to take center stage.
Adriana Lima also opted for a revealing, detailed couture gown- well, if you’ve got it… Adriana attended an after party hosted by Chopard in an Elie Saab Couture gown dating back to Spring 2011. The sweetheart bust, draped waist and pleated chiffon train lent a Greek-Goddess like appeal to this outfit. A Chopard choker added suitable pizzazz.
Once the world’s most infamous It-Girl, Paris Hilton commanded our attention once more in a couture gown by Jean Fares. The off the shoulder lace appliqué dress accentuates Paris’ statuesque frame and by keeping her hair and makeup simple, she looked like a radiant doll.
Chinese actress Gong Li opted for Roberto Cavalli for the ‘Coming Home’ premiere. The bejwelled back of her satin gown is simply breath taking. Gong complimented the look with diamond accessories and a ballerina bun.
