JW Anderson unveiled as part of the spring collection at Brown Thomas.

He's gone from a budding student to a resident couturier in Brown Thomas.

JW Anderson is among the new designers unveiled as part of BT's Spring/Summer Collection 2013.

The luxury store held a preview this week and – heads up fashionistas – it's all about florals, prints and patterns for the coming season.

Womenswear from Derry-born Anderson, who previously was honoured with the Emerging Talent Award at the British Fashion Awards, will hang alongside fellow newcomers to BT's designer level, including Kenzo, Rag & Bone, Anglomania and Marni Edition.

The son of Irish rugby player Willie Anderson, the 28-year-old's threads were first showcased in the famous Grafton Street store last September as part of the CREATE initiative. High street favourite River Island also launched its Spring/Summer collection this week, giving a nod to fringe, vintage and monochrome.
