Alexa Chung: The €1.5m girl
Being Alexa Chung is lucrative, as the serial slasher's (model-presenter-writer-designer) latest company accounts prove.
According to accounts filed on March 31, 2013, Chung's company, The Last Battalion, has over £1.85 million in its coffers.
Of that, almost £1.5 million cash is in the company's bank account with a further £539,000 in assets. The accounts also show that over £300,000 was added to the account from the end of March 2012 to the same time in 2013.
What cannot be deduced is how much of the company's haul made its way into 30-year-old Chung's designer purse.
Chung is somewhat well known for not having a set profession. Though she started out as a model aged 16, she came to public consciousness when she presented T4 music programme Popworld in 2006. In 2009 she left the UK to present for MTV in New York and became known for her distinctive personal style.
Modelling contracts soon began to roll in - Pepe Jeans, DKNY Jeans, Lacoste, Maje and Superga have all used her as a 'face'. Design opportunities arose too and she co-created collections for US brand Madewell. Additionally, she is a contributing editor to British Vogue and an ambassador for the British Fashion council, though it's not known if she is paid for such roles.
No doubt her accounts for the year to March 31, 2014 will look even healthier. In the last few months alone she has secured a contract as the face on Longchamp, created a make-up collection for Eyeko and released her debut book, It - the advance payment for which may well have boosted the £300,000 previously mentioned.
