After Kate Moss, Alexa Chung has inherited the mantle of one of the most-copied international style icons. Like supermodel Kate, Alexa has translated her individual look and wardrobe know-how into a commercial brand, most recently with Vero Modo.

The 28-year-old has an undoubted eye for 'artisto chic', a vintage-fuelled appreciation of separates and accessories from yesteryear.

She opened many girls' eyes to the magic of mannish brogues and her penchant for old-school satchels has turned into a high-street trend.

If you are cynical about celebrity clothing collections because they so often over- promise but under-deliver, then you'll find it refreshing to hear that Alexa's new collection for Vero Modo has her personal DNA stamped all over it, right down to those cute Peter Pan collars on girlie dress.

The chiffon-style 'Angel' dress features a flattering empire line and double hemline with pleated gathering at the bottom. A handy buy at €39.95.

There's a festival 'Survivor' parka jacket (€69.95), high denim shorts (€34.95) and the 'Florence' sleeveless lace top, which looks as if it came straight from a vintage shop.

A good transeasonal buy for €19.95.

The star of the collection is undoubtedly the 'Alexa' dress, with a black-lace overlay top that sits over a cream dress, featuring a Peter Pan collar (€49.95).
