Tess Daly and Vernon Kay have set off on a holiday to the Caribbean in a bid to save their marriage.
The couple’s relationship has been rocked yet again, when it was revealed that Vernon had been texting glamour model Rhian Sugden in secret for a second time.
The 41-year-old TV presenter and his wife Tess will travel for a two-week break in a bid to save their 13-year marriage.
A source close to the pair told The Sun: “The last few weeks have been a nightmare for Tess and vern and they just want to get away from it all. They’re hoping a break with the girls – thousands of miles away- will give them time to work through their problems.
“Tess has been in good form despite it all, putting on a brave face for everything and is keen to get away from all the attention so she can focus on her family and try to relax.”
Vernon took to Facebook to explain himself, after his communication with Rhian had once again been exposed, six years after the original scandal.
"Regarding today's story: I was contacted by Rhian out of the blue back in December regarding the story in 2010 claiming she had information she wanted to pass on.
"I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication, I was merely trying to find answers to questions that I've had since 2010.
"Tess is aware of everything that has been discussed with Rhian," he added.
The post attracted a flood of comments sending support to the star and his family.
Kay publicly apologised to his wife on radio in 2010 after it was revealed he had been sending inappropriate messages to five women, including the glamour model.
