Trolls target Irish producer Aurora Mulligan over relationship with Matt LeBlanc
Irish television producer Aurora Mulligan has been subjected to sickening online abuse over rumours she is in a secret relationship with Top Gear star Matt LeBlanc.
The Fermanagh woman, who works on the BBC Two show, has been spotted socialising with the former Friends actor on a number of occasions during the past few weeks.
LeBlanc has insisted that their relationship is strictly professional, but that has not stopped trolls verbally abusing the Enniskillen woman in a series of comments online.
In an expletive-filled rant posted on Twitter, one wrote: "Who cares what you want? You're a f*****g s**g! Matt deserves better than you.
"Dumb f****** b****. I hope you get hurt and realise that you made a huge mistake."
Another wrote: "@auroramulligan Hello, please can you stop this rumour and we say if you're in couple or not with Matt LeBlanc? Thank u!"
In their latest public appearance together, Le Blanc and the producer were pictured at the Hickstead Derby equestrian event on Saturday.
The Fermanagh brunette studied politics, political science and government at Liverpool University, before launching a successful career in TV production.
After stints at ITV and Channel 5, she started working at the BBC in July last year as an assistant producer on Top Gear.
She is believed to have met LeBlanc earlier this year, a short time before he was announced as one of the show's new presenters in February.
Matt and single Aurora were first pictured together at The Royal Garden Hotel in west London in May during a break from filming for the BBC series.
At the time, Aurora did not comment, but the actor's spokesman said: "I don't generally speak about my client's relationships, but this is strictly a work relationship."
Mulligan travels all over the world with her job, and has recently flown to Tibet, India and Africa.
