Robbie Jr asks mum Claudine Keane about the new baby: ‘Are you sure it’s not a lizard? Or a monkey?’

Robbie and Claudine may have revealed their baby news in a personal video last week but it seems the couple failed to show us the outtakes of their conversation with Robbie Jr.

The LA Galaxy footballer posted a video to his Facebook account last weekend, in which he and Claudine told their son Robert Jr that he was to have a new sibling in the next few months but the five-year-old clearly had a few more questions.

“Are you sure it’s not a lizard? Are you sure it’s not a monkey?” Robert asks in a new video posted by his dad this afternoon.

Claudine revealed that the family, who are currently based in LA, are excited to welcome a new baby to their family.

"We couldn't resist sharing Robert's reaction to the good news last week on Facebook," she wrote in her column in the Irish Daily Star.

"He is so excited and can't wait to be an older brother. He's wanted this for a long time."

The five-year-old was told the surprise news by Claudine who said "Mummy has a baby in her tummy" as dad Robbie filmed and Robert was clearly chuffed and said it was "amazing", before asking repeatedly, "Is that true?".

Claudine said, "Your dream came true" and then Robert felt the bump in his mum's tummy.
