Perrie Edwards opens up about Zayn Malik split as James Corden comforts her on his new chat show
Perrie Edwards has opened up about her relationship woes on James Corden’s Late Late Show in the US and revealed that she is feeling “good” following her split from former 1D star Zayn Malik.
The Little Mix singer appeared on the new late night chat show with her bandmates and was embraced by the British host who asked her how she was coping with the split.
“Are you OK? It has been tough few weeks,” James said as he hugged Perrie.
“Do you know what? I am good,” Perrie said.
“Things have been going so well in America. I wake up every day and thank my lucky stars that I have these three girls.”
The Little Mix star is believed to have been broken up with through text by Zayn and the pair are in the process of selling their luxurious London home which they shared.
As James hugged Perrie, the audience whooped and cheered in support.
Perrie and her band were chuffed earlier this week when they were asked to join Taylor Swift on stage during her 1989 tour.
“We flew back with her. She is so business minded. She’s an inspiration,” said Leigh-Anne.
While Perrie seems to be gracefully moving on, it seems Zayn is bitter following the relationship breakdown despite the fact that he is the one who reportedly ended their engagement.
The former 1D star this week got involved in a heated Twitter row with Taylor Swift’s beau Calvin Harris after he shared a Miley Cyrus quote in which she said she doesn’t care how much she makes from music. Beside Miley’s quote, was another from Taylor in which she requested her music be removed from Spotify.
Spotting Zayn’s retweet Calvin Harris wrote: "You've made your money? Cool...f*** the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah f*** em. [sic]”
"If u don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry, [sic]” Calvin tweeted.
Zayn replied back to Calvin and asked him to “calm his knickers”.
Zayn wrote: "Ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate.
"You clearly didn't understand what I just said either."
He then added: "So I suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out."
