Hilton Heiress Nicky wed her fiancé James Rothschild in an elaborate ceremony in Kensington Palace yesterday after which the guests partied into the early hours of this morning.
The newlywed couple married in London yesterday in a ceremony attended by 250 guests, including Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky and Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece. Nicky’s sister Paris posed as her maid of honour as she exchanged plush nuptials.
The bride donned an intricately crafted Valentino gown as she wed her British partner yesterday. Following the ceremony, the couple’s guests were treated to top-notch cocktails in the Lawn Marquee as the sun shone in the UK capital. Canapés included Cumberland sausages with a mustard mash dip, baked potatoes with caviar, and foie gras before they crowd sat down for dinner in the evening.
The wedding menu included influences from both America and the UK, with fresh crab and lobster, Hereford beef, rosemary roasties, and a summer risotto, with roasted basil and pesto tarts.
Dessert included an abundance of summer treats including peach and raspberry trifles, cheesecakes, Pimm’s jellies and classic rhubarb crumble.
Tunes were also rumoured to be crooned by Lionel Richie.
Although many guests headed home at 12am to be invited back for lunch this afternoon, Nicky and her new husband hit the town last night in celebration in a small get together in London’s Claridge’s.
