Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley said she was very unlucky in love when she was overweight and said men did not have an interest in her when she was a size 22.
The star (32),who pays Eva on the UTV soap, revealed that she was treated differently before she shifted the pounds.
“I was treated differently. I was always the fat, funny friend,” she told The Sunday Mirror Magazine.
“Men all wanted to buy me a drink when I was slim but I said no because they didn’t want to buy me one when I was fat,” she said.
The actress admitted that she has completely changed her lifestyle and predominantly follows a Paleo diet, which she credits for her weight loss.
“I have a rule. If it ran, swam or grew from the land I eat it. I don’t eat processed foods.
“I went back to the gym less than six weeks after giving birth. I was doing hill sprints with him in the pram. There’s a little bit more pressure with my job. Especially because Eva is always in ridiculously tight dresses,” said Catherine.
Meanwhile the soap star also opened up about her fast-paced relationship with her fiancé Tom who she met just over a year ago. Catherine fell pregnant when the couple were together for just four months but she revealed that it has all worked out positively.
“Meeting Tom was so out of the blue. I’m dead lucky. He ticks every box. [When I fell pregnant] we were both ready. The fact that I wasn’t nervous about telling him proved a point in my head that he was the right guy for me. I’m quite relaxed about the wedding,” she said.
