Katie Price slammed for posting snaps of daughter Princess (8) sporting professionally applied make-up
Katie Price has raised eyebrows on social media after she shared photographs of her eight-year-old daughter Princess wearing a full face of professionally applied make-up.
Princess was backstage watching her mother's performance in the Sleeping Beauty pantomime when the cosmetics were applied.
The young child, who Katie (37) had with Peter Andre in 2007, was pictured wearing an elaborate headpiece similar to her mother's and looked the picture of happiness.
However, some Instagram followers had harsh words for the mother-of-five.
"OMG it's like there's something wrong with this child. Like mother like daughter all right. She looks like a little girl from Toddlers and Tiaras," one user posted.
Twitter users were also quick to voice their disproval.
"Awful pic, Princess is a child not a doll. Have some sense Katie Price [sic]," one person tweeted.
"Why has Katie Price dressed up her 8-year-old as a Bratz doll?" another posted.
Other social media users defended Katie, highlighting that little girls like to imitate their mummies and emphasising that princess does not wear make up on a daily basis.
"Have you ever thought that she might wanna wear make-up? [sic]" one commented underneath Katie's picture.
"She's just dressing up like her Mummy. Kate's in panto so for an 8-year-old little girl it must be so exciting to be back stage and see her Mum getting ready," another posted.
The former glamour model also shared an adorable video of Princess singing along to Black Magic by chart toppers Little Mix.
Katie will play the part of the Wicked Fairy in the Woking production for the next two weeks.
Ex-Strictly Come Dancing contestant Anita Dobson will then take charge of the role until Sunday 10 January.
