Irish model Kerri Nicole Blanc had a particularly scary Halloween weekend as she underwent emergency surgery to remove her appendix.
Mum-of-one Kerri was forced to wait in A&E for more than 24 hours as she waited for doctors to perform the appendectomy procedure.
The Kildare native shared a photograph from her hospital bed following the surgery in which she appeared in good spirits despite the huge delay.
“Thanks for all the well wishes,” she wrote.
“After 28 hours left on a trolley in the hospital corridors, as they had no bed, I finally had my appendix out at midnight before it exploded.
“Doing great thanks for all the messages.”
Following the surgery, Kerri was visited by her little daughter Kayla (3) who donned a Spiderman costume in celebration of the family’s particularly frightening Halloween.
“My own little Superhero has come to mind me,” Kerri wrote.
Speaking of her daughter earlier this year Kerri said motherhood has completely changed her life and her view on her career.
“She has the most amazing and beautiful personality. Just her presence can light up any room.
“She has an ability to make everything ok, to put a smile on my face even when I really don't feel like smiling.
“I know that with Kayla by my side, I can get through anything. She gives me an inner strength that I never knew I had,” she said.
